Fiber Sampler

For Christmas I received a fiber sampler purchased from Woolgatherings on Etsy.

It includes: California Variegated Mutant, Cormo, Finnish, Shetland, Polwarth, Cheviot, Masham, Jacob, Wensleydale, Texel, Gotland, Lincoln, Welsh, Devon, Teeswater, Swaledale, Icelandic, Norwegian, Suffolk, Corriedale, Brown Manx Loaghtan, Herdwick, Dorset Horn, and Southdown.

Of these fibers I have only previously spun Polwarth, Finnish, Shetland, Wensleydale and a tiny, tiny bit of some poor quality Suffolk. 



Now, armed with an empty spindle and my Fleece and Fiber Sourcebook I'm ready to take on all the new experiences!

I printed out and cut up some little cards to put notes on for each fiber and I wrote the fiber types on them. Then I threw the cards in a small box so that I can randomly draw them to choose my next fiber. 

First up, Suffolk!
